Try to remember ……. The house of your grand-mother, the nice smell of jam simmering in the kitchen, everybody gathered around an enormous table and the evenings outside in the starry nights.

To give you a chance to recall these memories Catherine and Patrick are opening their home “Mas de Rabaste” in the middle of the vineyards and the lavender fields situated close to the village Allan in the Drôme Provençal.
In a cosy atmosphere you will appreciate the comfort of the rooms with their polished wooden floors and patina furniture.

By the end of the day the silence will only be broken by the song of birds and if your patient you may discover a doe or a family of wild boars enjoying their after dinner walk next to the vineyard.

Catherine will awake at sunrise preparing homemade bread, cakes, fresh fruit juice and jam for your breakfast. A moment of total relaxation preparing you for long walks in the surrounding villages or for the more sporty of you a few holes at the “Golf de la Valdaine”, a ride on bike on our small local roads or maybe even canoeing through Ardeche.

In the evening we will share our dinner at the large family table. Pies with vegetables from our orchard, simmering meals and local cheese all accompanied by wine from the neighbouring wine growers will leave you with the incomparable flavour of Provence.
